MORELIA AYALA
We all have that one reason why we wake up every morning to work, live, or simply survive. But this person will work all their days off simply to feel that they’re alive, and to prepare for what’s more to come. Morelia is the type of person who will find herself busy focusing on her goals, loving, and caring for her family and the people close to her, while also battling all the anxieties these current times have bestowed upon everybody.
Morelia is a single mom to a 5 year old daughter named Nevaeh. She has a solid background working as an Insurance Agent for 3 years and also Dental Assisting for another 3 years before joining Equity Institute. The nature of her work has always been in service to the people in need.
She has now taken the role of Project Manager for Lewis County’s Rental Assistance program. She is specifically reaching out to Latinx Communities and giving her all-out support to those who are in need. She’s also been a solid foundation in helping vaccination efforts to those communities that needed them the most.
In these times of crisis, being in the center of the most affected communities takes a great deal of courage, empathy, and humanizing hands to heed to the call of those who ask for it and need it the most. It is not just her background in serving communities, but the fact that she’s part of the community that she’s serving is what has made the Emergency Rental Assistance Program successful to this very day. She is human in every way, and a healer that’s done a great job healing.
In her free time, Morelia’s passion is lifting weights in the gym. She aspires to progressively be the strongest version of herself, not only physically but also mentally. She is a fitness enthusiast! Currently Deadlifting over 200% her body weight; she hopes to eventually participate in a powerlifting competition. As an aspiring psychologist/ social worker Morelia’s favorite go-to book is “Laws Of Human Nature” by Robert Greene. She is a true advocate for living your life in a balance; that happy medium where she believes true happiness exists.
